Yesterday, Logan had her 6 month well baby checkup. Logan weighed 15.5 lbs and measured 26.5 inches. Dr. Chunn said Logan can eat anything we eat that is mushy. Such as mashed potatoes, jello, bananas, guacamole, refried beans, etc. She can also have graham crackers, cheerios, and anything that can turn to mush in her mouth. Dr. Chunn also said that if we have a t-bone steak or chicken to take all of the gristle off of the bone but give it to her to suck on (I am not quite sure about this one). She can also start having whole milk. He said we should start by giving her 4 ounces of formula and then 2 ounces of whole milk mixed into her formula and do that for about a week and then slowing decrease the amount of formula.
I already read to Logan but he said, set a time every day when you read to her at least 10-15 minutes. He said to make sure and point out items because before her 1st birthday she should be pointing at objects in the book wanting me to tell her what they are. He said this is how they look for autism.
Logan also received 3 shots, which she of course wasn’t happy about! But at her next visit at 9 months, they said no shots! Dr. Chunn lifted her up to check her strength and she started crying…she was okay until he picked her up. He said she is going through the “stranger” phase, which we have already noticed.
She listened to every word he said and would give smiles to the Dr. Chunn. Overall he thought Logan looked great!
