A few pictures...

Logan's Hearing Screening

On Wednesday of this last week, Logan passed her hearing screening! She was originally tested right after birth and failed, and then was tested again a few days later and still didn't pass. They said she probably still had a bunch of gunk in her ears from birth, so we had to wait a few weeks and have her tested again in Bend. So after a couple of weeks worrying (but we knew she was fine, we could tell she responded to noise), she was tested again and passed with flying colors! He said the results were the best they could be.

Logan's first Doctor's Appt.

Yesterday, Friday, March 13th, Logan had her first Doctor's visit. Her pediatrician is Dr. Chunn. The first thing they did was weigh her. Her birth weight was 6lbs. 13oz. and yesterday she weighed 7lbs. 3 oz. So she is doing good! He said the main goal from when they leave the hospital until their 2 week check-up is gain any weight and she did just that! They also measured her, which at birth she was 20 inches and yesterday she was 20 and 3/4 inches. Dr. Chunn said her skin looks great, no jaundice. He also said her APGAR score was a 10, which is the best it can be. They also did her PKU to get checked, which she just cried for a moment...I was able to hold her while they did it so I think that helped to comfort her. Other than that Dr. Chunn said she is perfect! She goes back April 9th for her next check-up and they said at that time is when they will give her some of her shots.

Pictures of Logan

First Bath!

Logan received her first bath at home last night. We think she enjoyed the warm water. She didn't start crying until the end of the bath when she was ready to be done. We found this "wash pod" to use, but I think our kitchen sink will be getting some use until she is big enough to sit on her own and hold her own head up. It wasn't quite big enough for me to hold her up and try and wash her.
