Logan rolling over

Several weeks back Logan rolled over from her back to her stomach...tonight she rolled over from her stomach to her back. In the video you will notice her mom is pretty happy about her doing that!

Dinner time

Last week we were given the go ahead to start trying white fruits, yellow vegies, rice cereal, and 1/2 strength gatorade. Well, we have tried bananas a couple of times now and they haven't seemed to go over too well. Although, she has gotten a couple of bites down. Tonight, I tried mixing mashed banana with the rice cereal and it seemed to go down a lot easier. She will open her mouth like she wants it in there...

Curt's first Father's Day

While we were camping it was Father's Day. I made everyone pancakes. And Logan gave her dad the present she has gotten him. She picked out a wallet and he really liked it! I am working on getting some pictures of the two of them to upload.

Logan's 1st Camping Trip

This past weekend we went camping at the Ohanapecosh campground in Mt. Rainier National Forest. My best friend Casie, one of my college roommate, is leaving in a month to go to graduate school at Oklahoma State. So we wanted to do something together before she leaves. Curt and I borrowed my Uncle Jerry and Aunt Dena's camp trailer for the weekend. We figured that would be easier for our first camping experience with Logan. We are all thankful we had it because it rained a couple of the days we were there and the trailer offered a nice warm, dry place to go. The only nice day we were able to go for a hike to Silver Falls, it was really pretty. Logan was a good girl the whole time and really enjoyed watching the fire. We also tried giving Logan a mashed banana. She wasn’t sure what we were doing to her. She just mauled it around in her mouth, maybe got a few bites down.

Doctor's Appt.

Last Tuesday Logan had her 4 month check-up, she isn't 4 months until Thursday. She weighes 12 lbs 5 ounces, and is 23 3/4 inches long. Dr. Chunn said she is pretty perfect! He kept smiling at him when he was listening to her heart and he said that she is going to a flirt, he liked her brown hair blue eyed combination. He also said that her dad is going to have his hands full, but we have been saying that since day one. She also had the same shots as she did at her last appointment, which is not fun. We are able to give her Tylenol, but she still didn't feel herself and her dad was out of town. She fell asleep on my chest for 2 hours in the recliner. She goes back in August for another check up and more shots.

Aunt Nean and Uncle Phil's going away party

My Great Aunt Jeannine and Uncle Phil are moving to Texas soon...so they came from Oregon City to visit everyone on this side of the mountains and to meet Logan before venturing south. We had a mexican potluck at Great Aunt Nancy's...she had a mini sombero that we put on Logan for some pictures...I can see it now, when she is a teen she is going to be giving everyone the pointy fingers for putting her through this!

Logan and her cousin Austin

Skamania Lodge

If you need a weekend getaway, visit Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA. It was very pretty and we had a lot of fun! We met up with Curt's mom and sister there for the weekend. We practiced our golfing at the driving range, went for a short hike, went swimming, watched a wedding from the lodge, and enjoyed hot chocolate by the fire.

As you scroll down, you can see that Logan was not sure at all about the swimming pool, then as time went on she got more used to it.

Our growing girl...

We have been working with Logan to roll over. And tonight she did it all on her own! She rolled from her back to her stomach! She is also starting to be more "talkative," she makes coos and gurgle sounds! I can't believe how fast she is growing. It is pretty cool to see the changes taking place and how she is developing. The other day she started rubbing her eyes with her hands when she was tired and I was thinking how did she know to do that...

One of our 4-legged daugthers also has a new trick... Echo has been able to carry 2 balls in her mouth at the same time for awhile now, but the balls are usually side by side...tonight she had one on top of the other and carrying them.
